Terms of Service
Last updated: October 27, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MV Sign, an electronic document signing platform operated by White Sun Private Limited ("White Sun," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, accessing a signing link, or otherwise using MV Sign, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
If you're using MV Sign on behalf of a company or other organization ("Company"), you represent that you're authorized to accept these Terms on that Company's behalf, and "you" refers to both you and the Company.
2. Definitions
- Account — a Company's registered workspace on MV Sign, along with the individual user accounts within it.
- Authorized User — anyone a Company admin adds to its Account, e.g. an employee who prepares or sends documents.
- Document — any file uploaded to MV Sign for the purpose of collecting electronic signatures.
- Signer — anyone asked to sign a Document, whether they have an MV Sign account (an "internal" signer) or sign through a one-time secure link without creating one (an "external" signer).
- Content — Documents, signatures, and any other material a Company or its users upload to or generate on MV Sign.
3. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use MV Sign. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep your login credentials confidential. A Company's administrator is responsible for the Authorized Users they add and for how those users use the Account.
4. Using MV Sign
MV Sign lets you upload a Document, place signature and text fields on it, send it to one or more Signers, and collect their signatures. You're responsible for the Documents you upload and for having the right to request signatures on them. Don't upload Content you don't have the rights to, or that violates someone else's rights.
5. Electronic Signatures
MV Sign is built to produce a signature record intended to be legally binding: it captures the signer's drawn, typed, or uploaded signature image, timestamps the action, and (where identity verification is enabled) confirms the signer's identity by a one-time WhatsApp code before accepting the signature.
Whether an electronic signature is legally sufficient for a particular document depends on the laws of the jurisdiction and the type of document involved — some transactions (for example, certain wills, property transfers, or court filings) may not be eligible for electronic signature under local law. It's your responsibility to determine whether MV Sign is appropriate for a given Document; we don't provide legal advice.
6. Signer Responsibilities
If you're asked to sign a Document, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you're authorized to sign — whether for yourself or on behalf of an organization. Declining to sign, and stating why, is always available as an alternative to signing something you don't agree with.
7. Prohibited Activities
You may not use MV Sign to:
- Upload fraudulent, forged, or intentionally misleading Documents.
- Impersonate another person, or sign on behalf of someone who hasn't authorized it.
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security features, including identity verification and rate limits.
- Upload malicious files or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service.
- Use the service in a way that violates any applicable law.
8. Plans, Fees & Payment
Free trial. Every new Company account starts with a 7-day free trial with full access. When the trial ends, the Account needs an active paid plan to keep using MV Sign.
Plans and prices. Paid plans (Starter, Small Business, Business and Business Plus) are billed monthly or annually in Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR), at the prices shown on our Pricing page when you request the plan. Each plan limits the number of users on the Account and sets a default document retention period. All prices exclude Goods and Services Tax (GST) and any other applicable taxes, which are payable in addition at the rate set by law. Enterprise plans are priced individually — contact us at [email protected].
How you pay. Payment is currently by bank transfer to the White Sun Private Limited account details shown in your Company's Billing page. You choose a plan and we issue a numbered tax invoice showing the price, GST and total. You pay that invoice, then submit the payment on the Billing page with the bank reference and a copy of your receipt. Your plan is activated only once we have verified the payment, which we do by hand, so it may not be immediate. You're responsible for any charges your own bank applies to the transfer.
Billing periods and renewal. A paid plan runs for one month (monthly) or one year (annual) from the day we activate it. Plans do not renew automatically and we never charge you without your action. When a period ends, access to the workspace is paused until you submit and we verify a new payment. Pausing access does not delete your Documents; retention follows the rules in our Privacy Policy.
Refunds and price changes. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise or where we agree in writing. We may change our prices at any time; a change never affects a period you have already paid for.
9. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to the Content you upload. By using MV Sign, you grant us only the limited license needed to store, process, and display that Content in order to provide the service to you. MV Sign's software, design, and branding are the property of White Sun Private Limited and may not be copied or reused without permission.
10. Data & Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it, and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
11. Mobile Apps & Connected Products
The apps. White Sun Private Limited makes MV Sign available as an iPhone app and an Android app (the "Apps"). The Apps let people with an MV Sign account review, sign, and decline documents, and are governed by these Terms along with the Privacy Policy. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Apps on devices you own or control, for your own use of MV Sign. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or resell the Apps, or use them to build a competing service.
Your device and account. You're responsible for keeping your device and login details secure, and for anything done with the App while you are signed in. A signature drawn on your phone is a signature you have chosen to adopt, and has the same effect as one you register on the web. Log out of the App, or tell your Company admin, if your device is lost or shared. Notifications are optional; you can turn them off in your device settings, and documents still appear in the App and on the web.
App stores. You download the iPhone app from Apple's App Store and the Android app from Google Play, and their terms also apply to your download. These Terms are between you and White Sun Private Limited, not Apple or Google, who have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the Apps, and are not responsible for any claim about them. Apple and Google (and their subsidiaries) are third-party beneficiaries of this section and may enforce it against you. You confirm that you are not in a country under a trade embargo and are not on a list of restricted parties.
Connected products. If your Company's admin connects MV Sign to another White Sun product (for example WS People, WS Ledger, or DPMi360), MV Sign may send documents to be signed from that product and return the signed result and its status. Only a Company admin can connect or disconnect a product, and a connection can access only what it was approved for. Your Company is responsible for the connections it approves and for having the right to share the data involved. Disconnecting stops new data being exchanged; documents already signed remain part of your Company's records under our retention practices.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate an Account for violating these Terms, for fraudulent activity, or for non-payment. You may stop using MV Sign at any time; fees already paid for the current period are not refunded except as set out in Section 8. Document retention after termination follows our retention practices.
13. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
MV Sign is provided "as is." While we verify signer identity through the mechanisms described in these Terms and take the security measures described in our Privacy Policy, we can't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we're not liable for how a Company or its users choose to use Documents signed through the platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, White Sun Private Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of MV Sign.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll notify registered users by email or an in-app notice before the change takes effect. Continued use of MV Sign after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
